Welcome to Simple Roots, a service operated by Chaamara Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the Simple Roots website, mobile applications, and subscription-based vegetable delivery services. By accessing our platform, creating an account, or subscribing to our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must discontinue the use of our services immediately.
Simple Roots provides a recurring, twice-a-week delivery service of fresh vegetables directly to consumers in select areas of Bangalore. We utilize a machine learning model to recommend vegetable varieties and portions based on your family size, seasonal availability, and past preferences, guided by World Health Organization (WHO) consumption recommendations. Users maintain the right to customize their boxes prior to delivery via our designated platform or WhatsApp interface.
To utilize our services, you must provide accurate, current, and complete information, including a valid phone number and delivery address. By creating an account and providing your phone number, you explicitly consent to receive transactional and operational communications from Simple Roots via WhatsApp. These communications may include order confirmations, delivery updates, wallet balance notifications, and customer support interactions. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account.
Simple Roots operates on a prepaid wallet system designed for seamless transactions. Users must load funds into their Simple Roots wallet using supported payment methods (Credit/Debit cards, Net Banking, UPI) before deliveries can be processed. The cost of each vegetable box is deducted from your wallet balance upon order confirmation. Prices for vegetables fluctuate based on market conditions, and we strive to provide competitive rates. We reserve the right to modify prices without prior notice, though such changes will be reflected in your order summary prior to deduction. If your wallet balance falls below the required amount for your next delivery, we reserve the right to pause your subscription until sufficient funds are added.
There is no minimum subscription period. You may pause, modify, or completely cancel your subscription at any time. To ensure operational efficiency, modifications or cancellation requests for a specific delivery day must be communicated via WhatsApp or our platform within the cut-off time provided to you. If you choose to permanently cancel your subscription, we will refund any unutilized amount remaining in your wallet to your original payment method. Please note that promotional credits, bonus amounts, or discounts applied to your wallet are non-refundable and hold no cash value.
We are committed to delivering fresh produce within 18 hours of harvest. However, as vegetables are perishable agricultural products, variations in size, shape, color, and minor cosmetic imperfections are natural and expected. Please note that our vegetables are not certified organic. Simple Roots provides its products and services on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, regarding the merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose of our products, except as explicitly stated by applicable Indian consumer protection laws.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Chaamara Technologies Pvt. Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to health-related claims, arising from your use of or inability to use our services. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific delivery in question.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes, claims, or controversies arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Bangalore, Karnataka.
